Production Weekly wrote on their official twitter page that Leighton Meester and Amber Heard will topline Jess Manafort’s Cowgirl Bandits with Paul Schiff producing. The movie is being dubed a a young version of Thelma & Louise.

Manafort worked with Meester and Heard on the 2007 film Remember the Daze. The movie, which Manafort also wrote, revolved around the relationship dynamics of a group of suburban teens on the last day of school in 1999.

We’ll continue to keep you posted on this news! Definitely sounds interesting, I adored Manafort’s Daze and both Leighton and Amber in it. Not to mention Thelma & Louise is one of my all time favorites.

Actress Leighton Meester left traffic cops concerned and terrified when they stopped her for speeding and discovered she had blood all over her face.

The Gossip Girl star was dashing home after shooting new thriller The Roommate and had forgotten to wipe the fake goo off her face.

She says, “My character goes through a lot of problems… (and) I ended up with a lot of blood on my face… I looked like I had been in a cage fight.

“The police pulled me over… I might have been going a little fast… They were like, ‘How much have you had to drink?’ and when I said, ‘Nothing,’ they said, ‘Get out of the car’. They made me do the follow the finger and the whole thing and then they were like, ‘When does the movie come out?’

“I was just so out of it from the movie, I wasn’t drunk… I was in a weird state of mind, driving home and it was about three o’clock in the morning… I think they thought somebody had beaten me up.”

GOSSIP GIRL star LEIGHTON MEESTER is the favourite to land the leading role in a modern retelling of the BEAUTY & THE BEAST story.
Meester is slated to play a high school Belle in TV movie Beastly.
Her monstrous co-star has yet to be found, although Eonline.com reports Zak Efron was initially in negotiations to play the teenager turned into a beast by a jealous castmate.
Sources insist Meester is very keen to star in the modern fairytale: “She really wants to do it.”
The film will be based on writer Alex Finn’s young-adult supernatural novel of the same name.

On the set of their hit CW show, Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester revealed the first concerts they ever attended.

Leighton Meester: “I think like when I was like 12, I probably went to a concert that was like one of those boy bands that is now forgotten. But the one that I really loved and remembered was either Incubus or No Doubt when I was still in California.”

Pouring cold water to the mounting reports that Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan are engaged and about to make public their engagement soon, a representative for the actor confirms to Access Hollywood that the stories are false. “He is not engaged,” the representative says in a statement.

Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan first met on the set of The CW’s teen dramedy “Gossip Girl” when he played a recurring role, called Carter Baizen, alongside her character Blair Waldorf. New York gossip column PageSix previously reported the twosome were engaged and already made it public on their “secret” Facebook pages. They, moreover, were also claimed to have been planning to marry.

However, a source has confirmed to US Weekly the supposed Facebook pages were fake. A representative for Leighton refuses to comment on the actress’ personal life.

“Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester reportedly is close to make public her engagement to actor boyfriend Sebastian Stan. According to New York gossip column PageSix, Leighton by far only announces the engagement on her social networking site Facebook.

Representative for Leighton declines to comment on the report. Sebastian, meanwhile, has not yet issued a single comment on that matter.

Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan’s first meeting occurred on the set of “Gossip Girl” when he played a recurring role alongside her character Blair Waldorf. No record on when exactly the pair began dating.

Professionally, Leighton is better known for her acting in small screen rather than in big screen. Beside starring in “Gossip Girl”, she also has guest starred on HBO’s hit comedy series “Entourage”.

The dynamic duo will play — prepare to laugh ’till you piddle — former high school classmates of Liz Lemon’s in a flashback sequence that reveals a shocking and deeply ironic truth about Tina Fey’s morally superior alter ego: She was a Mean Girl!

The Gossip-inspired flashback coincides with Liz’s 20-year high school reunion, which means we’re also going to meet the adult versions of Meester and Lively’s characters. (In a kicky twist, Rock execs are talking to Blake’s older sis, Robyn Lively, about playing the latter part.) Source
